More than 80% of Americans want to see the minimum wage increased. Obstruction is not an option -- demand Congress vote on the Fair Minimum Wage Act and raise the minimum wage to $10 an hour NOW.

Why is this important?

Millions of Americans are stuck in what were once considered to be entry level jobs, many of which pay at or near the federal minimum wage. People working these jobs often find themselves living in poverty and dependent on government assistance, even when they work full time.

Corporations like McDonald's and Walmart could easily afford to pay their employees more but choose instead to use their growing profits to give big raises and bonuses to high level executives.

Corporate America will not treat its workers fairly on its own. We need to raise the federal minimum wage so that people who work full time will no longer have to live in poverty.
