Eliminate Direct Corporate Campaign Contributions in Vermont

Eliminate Direct Corporate Campaign Contributions in Vermont

Pass legislation that eliminates all direct corporate contributions to Vermont candidates.

Why is this important?

Since 1907, federal candidates have been barred from accepting direct corporate contributions. Unfortunately, in Vermont candidates can accept contributions directly from corporate bank accounts. This prevents us from knowing the individuals behind those contributions.

Matt Dunne, candidate for governor, has long believed that Vermont should eliminate direct corporate contributions to political campaigns to increase transparency and ensure that people – not corporations – hold the true power in our elections and in our government.

That is why Matt has returned thousands of dollars in direct corporate contributions and called on the Vermont Legislature to introduce legislation that would eliminate all direct corporate donations to Vermont political campaigns.

Stand with us in calling on the Vermont Legislature to eliminate direct corporate contributions to political campaigns.
