Stop the delays: Fully fund our schools

We demand that legislators commit right now to fully fund our schools in the 2017 legislative session. No more delays, no more excuses.

Why is this important?

It's been four years since the Washington Supreme Court ruled the state legislature was failing its constitutional duty to fund our schools. It's been nearly two years since the Supreme Court found the legislature to be in contempt of court for failing to comply with the court order. This is unacceptable, and we're fed up.

Reasons for signing

  • Education is our most important responsibility. Study after study has shown that a poor education leads to many other systemic problems later on. We need to help stop problems before they start. We need to treat children as our most important future investments. If we skimp on them now, we will pay more later.
  • It is beyond way overdue!
  • Legislators have had enough time to find a solution.
