Superior Court Judge, Fulton County
Judge Shalanda Miller is a Fulton County Juvenile Court Judge navigating family dependency and child delinquency matters. She is the associate judge serving parents with substance abuse disorders through the family treatment accountability court, which helps preserve families through court intervention and services. She has served as a Magistrate Court Judge, sitting by designation in State and Superior Courts.
Shalanda believes that the pursuit of justice requires a solid knowledge of the law and legal procedure and a heart for service and people, because it requires the delicate balance between the letter of the law and the needs of the individuals and facts before the court. This balance must be pursued blindly without respect for person, status, or background. And this balance must be defended fiercely because it is the foundation of our justice system and is what builds trust in the system as a whole.
