Cynthia Rodriguez
Yolo County District Attorney
With 40 years of criminal legal experience, my perspective of the strengths and weaknesses of the justice system is uniquely broad. My unique experiences and deep ties to Yolo County have prepared me to be a District Attorney who understands how to balance public safety, accountability, and the needs of the most vulnerable: the unsheltered, communities of color, people with disabilities, and those with mental illness.
I have a vision of a District Attorney’s Office that offers fair treatment, equal justice and increases public safety: - Leading with equal justice: Eliminate practices that show bias towards marginalized communities. - Full transparency: The District Attorney’s actions and spending will be available to the public in real time, including data on the age, race, ethnicity, record, and treatment of all defendants. - Public Safety and Health: Diversion-first policies for all non-violent offenses and education for first offenders.
